PROPANTHELINE BROMIDE SIDE EFFECTS:
PROPANTHELINE BROMIDE can cause stomach discomfort, headache, problems sleeping, flushing, blurred vision, dry mouth, constipation, reduced sweating, drowsiness or thirst. If any of these effects persist or worsen, inform your doctor. Notify your doctor if you develop: confusion, tremors, irregular pulse, rapid heartbeat, and difficulty urinating. It's unlikely, but if you have an allergic reaction after taking this drug, contact your doctor immediately. The symptoms you may experience with an allergic reaction might include: swelling, itching, rash, dizziness, and trouble breathing. If you experience and other effects that are not listed, you should contact your doctor or pharmacist.
HOW TO USE PROPANTHELINE BROMIDE:
PROPANTHELINE BROMIDE: Take PROPANTHELINE BROMIDE 30 minutes before eating a meal. Take PROPANTHELINE BROMIDE as it has been prescribed by your doctor. Do not increase the dose or take it more than prescribed without talking to your doctor about it first.. It is important that you drink plenty of fluids when you are taking PROPANTHELINE BROMIDE unless your doctor has instructed you not to.
PROPANTHELINE BROMIDE USES:
Propantheline is used with other medications combined for treating peptic ulcers. Do not take propantheline if you experience any stomach discomfort from gas or for any problem other than the medical condition in which your doctor prescribed this drug for.
OTHER USES OF PROPANTHELINE BROMIDE:
PROPANTHELINE BROMIDE may also be used for other digestive tract problems like irritable bowel syndrome. It may also be used for controlling urinary incontinence.
PROPANTHELINE BROMIDE PRECAUTIONS:
It is important to disclose your complete medical history to your doctor. If you have had any of these conditions, you should list them on your medical history. glaucoma, enlarged prostate gland, high blood pressure, overactive thyroid gland, liver disease, heart or blood vessel disease, kidney disease, myasthenia gravis (a muscle problem), difficulty urinating, contact lens usage, asthma, bronchitis, emphysema or other lung disease, any allergies. Because PROPANTHELINE BROMIDE may cause drowsiness, you should always use caution when driving or doing anything that would require alertness. PROPANTHELINE BROMIDE reduces sweating which can lead to heatstroke in hot weather. Because sweat cools your body when it is hot, you should use caution when engaging in a strenuous activity, because this drug may not allow your body to sweat. If you wear contact lenses you may need to use eye lubricants. This medication can cause your eyes to become dry. Elderly patients may be more sensitive to the effects of propantheline. Use cautiously. Propantheline should be only used during pregnancy if it is clearly needed. Make sure you discuss the risks and benefits of using this drug during pregnancy with your doctor. It is not known if PROPANTHELINE BROMIDE goes into the breast milk, so consult your doctor before breast-feeding while taking this drug.
PROPANTHELINE BROMIDE DRUG INTERACTIONS:
it is important to tell your doctor about all of all the prescription and nonprescription medications you use, especially: amantadine, antihistamines, digoxin, disopyramide, glutethimide, levodopa, meperidine, extended-release potassium chloride tablets, quinidine, tranquilizers, phenothiazines (e.g., chlorpromazine, promethazine), medication for depression, medicine for Parkinson's disease. You should never start or stop any medicine without your doctors or pharmacist approval.
PROPANTHELINE BROMIDE OVERDOSE:
If an overdose of this medication is suspected, you should contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of an overdose might include unusually dry mouth; excessive thirst; nausea; vomiting; difficulty breathing; blurred vision; dilated pupils; flushed, hot, dry skin; muscle weakness; unusual dizziness or drowsiness; restlessness; disorientation; and seizures.
PROPANTHELINE BROMIDE NOTES:
Never share PROPANTHELINE BROMIDE with any other person.
MISSED PROPANTHELINE BROMIDE DOSE:
If you miss a dose, take that dose as soon asyou remember. Do not take the missed dose if it is almost time for the next dose. Instead, you should skip the missed dose and continue with your usual dosing schedule. Do not double the dose to catch up with what you missed.
PROPANTHELINE BROMIDE STORAGE:
You should always store this medication at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (between 15 and 30 degrees C). store it away from moisture and sunlight. Do not store in the bathroom.
